Released 2017 Update – Sentenced to Prison in July 2014…………Typical of the Justice system, let out after just 3 years!!!

Man jailed at Bristol Crown Court for sexual abuse of six-year-old girls

A MAN who admitted sexually abusing two young girls has been jailed for six-and-a-half years.

Mark Chapman, of Willsbridge, pleaded guilty to four charges of causing or inciting a child aged under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Bristol Crown Court heard the youngsters, who were aged six, were coaxed into touching the 47-year-old’s private parts and he rubbed himself against them intimately.

The girls reported what was happening and police were called in.

Chapman at first claimed that the girls, who cannot be identified, encouraged the behaviour, the court heard.

But Derek Perry, defending, said his client did not put any blame on the children and admitted wrongdoing to avoid putting them through any more harm.

Judge Graham Hume Jones told Chapman: “You encouraged them and in their childish way they enjoyed what was happening.

“You should not have allowed it to happen and you should not have allowed it to continue.

“I have no doubt that those two children are now very confused as to what has happened.

“Because of the background you created in their minds and in the minds of others around them, they now see you as a threat and are frightened.”

Chapman was barred from working with children and handed an indefinite Sexual Offences Prevention Order, banning him from unsupervised contact with youngsters.

He was told to register as a sex offender for life.
