Hamleys toy shop paedo who sexually assaulted girl during magic show caged
A PERVERT who stalked Hamleys toy shop and preyed on a child during a magic show has been jailed.
Serial sex attacker Neil Cuthbertson, 51, who has been branded a “menace to young girls”, sexually molested the 11-year-old as she stood beside her mum and sister.
He crept up on the child and pinched her bottom in the packed central London’s Regent Street store.
His victim was left “confused and upset” after the attack in the lead up to Christmas on 8 November 2015, the Old Bailey heard.
Prosecutor Eloise Emanuel said: “The victim, an 11-year-old girl, was with her mother and sister enjoying a magic show, which was being put on by Hamleys at that time.”
Cuthbertson was arrested a year later when chilling CCTV footage captured the moment the paedophile carried out a second assault on a little girl in the aisle of Waitrose supermarket, Westfield shopping centre.
He preyed on the eight-year-old in the supermarket aisle on 28 November last year.
The prosecutor added: “The second attack took place when the defendant walked around the store and then stopped next to the victim, standing very close to her, described as a matter of inches away, for some time while looking around him.
“He then reached out and touched the bottom of the victim quickly and then pulled his hand away as if touching something hot.
“There was clear CCTV footage of the attack taking place”

“The victim herself was unaware, but an eye witness alerted the mother, who was obviously very distressed.
“Then there was clear CCTV footage of the attack taking place.”
Cops also discovered video clips of children ice skating on his smartphone.
Judge John Bevan described the pervert as “out of control” when he sentenced him to five years and seven months behind bars.
He added: “You are menace, unfortunately, to young girls, either in single figures or ten or 11.
“You didn’t go to Hamleys toy shop by accident, you went there on purpose.
“Your previous convictions are appalling, with sentences of seven years, eight years reduced to six years, and six years reduced to four-and-a-half years, all for sexual offences.
“It appears you are unable to control yourself and you have no thought for the serious consequences on little girls who are greatly upset by what has happened.”
Cuthbertson, of no fixed address, confessed to sexual assault over the two attacks and two charges of breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
He was handed consecutive prison sentences of 15 months for the Hamleys attack, six months for the Waitrose assault, and two 24-month terms for the breaches.
Serial paedophile, 51, is branded ‘a menace to young girls.
An already convicted paedophile who pinched an 11-year-old’s bottom as she watched a magic show at Hamleys toy shop was branded a ‘menace to young girls’ as he was jailed for nearly six years.
Neil Cuthbertson, 51, groped the youngster as she stood with her mother and sister in the busy children’s store before she turned around when she thought it was ‘weird’.
The serial child sex offender quickly whipped his hand away and fled the world famous shop in London’s Regent Street, but was captured on CCTV.
The Old Bailey heard his young victim was left ‘confused and upset’ following the attack on 8 November 2015.
In a victim impact statement read out in court, her mum said: ‘Since the assault she sometimes has difficulty falling asleep, I often find her in tears.
‘She told me she can’t stop thinking about what happened, saying, “I can’t get that man out of my head”.’
Cuthbertson was arrested a year after the Hamleys attack following a further assault on an eight-year-old girl in the aisle of Waitrose supermarket in Westfield shopping centre on 28 November last year.
Police discovered footage of children ice skating at a public rink on his smartphone.
Prosecutor Eloise Emanuel said the offences were aggravated by the location, adding: ‘Certainly in regards to Hamleys, that is choosing to go to a store where children are going to be.’
Jailing Cuthbertson for a total of 69 months, Judge John Bevan told him: ‘You are menace, unfortunately, to young girls… you didn’t go to Hamleys toy shop by accident, you went there on purpose.’
The judge added: ‘You are plainly a man with an appalling record for this sort of thing.
‘It appears you are unable to control yourself and you have no thought for the serious consequences on little girls who are greatly upset by what has happened.’
Cuthbertson, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to sexual assault over the two attacks as well as two charges of breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
He received consecutive prison sentences of 15 months for the Hamleys attack, six months for the Waitrose assault, and two 24-month terms for the breaches.
