Paedophile who called himself ‘Fat Boy’ and pestered girls as young as 13 on Facebook and Instagram for explicit selfies before having sex with a 15-year-old girl is jailed for three years
Charles Declan Lindley trawled social media for ‘sexy pics’ of underage girls
The 20-year-old was placed under a sexual risk order by police in 2015
But he was still able to harass girls online and had sex with a 15-year-old victim
If he is eligible for early release he could be out of jail in less than a year
A paedophile called himself ‘Fat Boy’ and pestered girls as young as 13 for explicit selfies.
Charles Declan Lindley, from Loftus, trawled Instagram and Facebook under different pseudonyms.
After asking young girls for ‘sexy pics’, he eventually had sex with a 15-year-old victim.
Charles Declan Lindley, nicknamed ‘Fat Boy’, was jailed for three years at Teesside Crown Court – but he is hoping for an early release in May 2018
He was jailed for three years at Teesside Crown Court last year after admitting the crime.
He has now received a further jail sentence after failing to comply with the sex offenders’ register.
The 20-year-old pleaded guilty at Teesside Magistrates’ Court to failing to tell authorities he had fake social media accounts.
On Instagram he called himself ‘Fat Boy 46’, while he had a Facebook account under the name of Charlie Simpson.
‘He said his Facebook account was no longer active but police said it was still being updated by (Lindley),’ claimed the Crown.
Lindley also admitted not telling police he had moved in with his mum in Barnsley.
Lindley was placed under a sexual risk order in 2015, which banned him from changing address unless he informed the police of his whereabouts.
He was arrested in October after the discovery of the fake social media accounts.
And at last week’s hearing, District Judge Martin Walker jailed him for an additional three months each for the trio of fresh charges.
The sentences will run concurrent to his current three-year sentence.
It is understood Lindley, formerly of High Street, Loftus, is hoping for early release in May 2018.
However, if he is eligible for an early release on a tag, he could be home as early as January next year.
