A 27-year-old man is waiting to learn his fate today after he admitted making and taking indecent photographs of a child.
Kevin Christopher Gibson pleaded guilty to the two charges – each relating to four indecent pictures found on a phone – at Teesside Crown Court .
Robert Mochrie, defending, said: “He’s conceded that this is a serious offence in the context of indecent images.
“There is an identifiable victim.
“I would ask for a pre-sentence report so that he can go through the various assessments.”
Gibson, of Central Mews, central Middlesbrough , had no previous convictions.
Judge Sean Morris bailed him until sentencing on February 1, saying: “No promises.”
He told the defendant: “Very wise to enter guilty pleas. You’ll get proper credit for that.
“I’ll adjourn for a pre-sentence report. Understand this. That doesn’t mean it isn’t prison.”
