Dramatic moment paedophile who used dating app to lure ’14-year-old boy’ and told the ‘child’ he would ‘teach him things he could only dream of’ was snared by vigilantes
A paedophile who believed he had arranged to see a 14-year-old boy he had met on a dating app has been jailed after being snared by vigilantes.
Neil Prior, 35, was arrested by police after vigilante group The Hunted One caught him in a sting operation in Maidstone, Kent.
He was filmed admitting that he was waiting for the fictional schoolboy called Sam outside the McDonald’s drive-thru.
Prior has been sentenced to a year in jail at Maidstone Crown Court.
Chat logs show the 35-year-old, who was fully aware how old the boy was, using sexual language and setting up the meeting.
In one of the messages, he wrote: ‘I could tech you [s]tuff u only dream’ (sic)’.
